$203.38. that is the price of a brand new jeep battery on a new jeep. oh yessss. only me. and...it's now the 3rd time i've killed bambi's battery...don't judge, i'm a beginner, lol.
so, let's start from the beginning.
yesterday, was a new day and i squeezed gram tight as i caught a glimpse of the sun shining down on bambi.
i left san jose en route of spot e6...my new address at the tray-tray villa. i pulled over to pick up my signature starbucks. but, as i sipped on all that yummy-ness, miss lee from the front desk at the villa called. she had made a mistake...bambi's e6 spot wasn't actually available until today.
my eyes smiled. you might wonder why. let me tell youuuu! did i really want to sleep in the shiny bubble last night or did i really want to be pampered at the sheraton for the evening?! with a pool & a gym & a pond with little fishes poking their fishy lips out of the water, & room service & a bar with a dirty martini & flourless chocolate cake.
yes, i pranced into the sheraton like royalty. unfortunately, i woke up to reality.
maybe a lightning bolt hit grand & bambi (the jeep & tray) last night. or maybe someone stole something from the engine. is that even possible? i mean...w h y won't the power locks unlock or the engine turn on or even make a sound or a flicker of light or life or anything at all?
w h y why why? the rain followed me from oregon & it's pouring out, again. it's 6:45 a.m. & it's my first day working at the prestigious stanford university hospital as a registered nurse.
this can't be happening to me...i mean, it is happening to me but it shouldn't be because i believed the trailer people when they told me that there is a special mechanism that prevents my trailer from draining my car battery. even if i accidentally leave something on. (after calling my mechanic tonight, i don't think he actually ever said that...i think i made that up). oops.
i've been rotating my s.o.s. (help) phone calls between my two brothers. today, my big brother jeff got the call at 6:46am. i then called aaa. it was going to have to wait until after work.
the concierge whistled & a pretty yellow taxi escorted me to stanford. it reminds me of nyc & someday i'll live there too. i walked into orientation giggling...because these moments could only happen to a sparkly stormy kinda girl like me.
later in the evening...the aaa guy arrived & called his tow truck guy. when the tow truck guy arrived, he called his battery guy. grand is a happy new owner of a brand new battery. bambi needs some love (and electricity), so i'll plug her in tomorrow. until then, i'll enjoy night #2 of pretending like royalty (except the grease on my hands & broken nail is not fitting).
the aha: unplug bam from grand overnight. your perspective is what makes this different. these are little things, but you are doing big things. great job, doll. keep going. it looks like you're in 💜 with the life you picked. good girl.
